Life, decision, and teaching
When people try to tempt me I need God's help to keep me on track. So many youth of todays culture drink, do drugs, and are in relationships doing things they wouldn't want their parents knowing of.
I have always had two things helping me to avoid these thing.
1. God - He is my provider and I don't even need to ask for Him to steer me away from these situations. He is always one step ahead.
2. I think of a phrase "Would I want my children to do it"
Whenever someone asks me to do wrong I think to myself what if my precious girl or boy chose to do it. Would I be happy? I also feel like if you didn't choose to behave the way you should have then why should they not get to copy. I mean all children follow from their parents examples right? Well mostly.
So if I go out drinking at the age of 16 one weekend then I can't stop my children from doing it because I got to, which is why I have made a commitment with myself and with God not to.
I don't know why people want me to fail so bad? I want to save everyone from their bad habits. Why do they want to make me 'bad'? Numerous occasions have occurred when people have said;
"Angelica, I can't wait to get you drunk"
"Angelica, you won't be able to last until you are 18"
My reply is watch me. Watch me please. Watch me stick to my word. I could go my whole life without having a drink if it was my promise! I don't think Alcohol makes people 'fun' I know plenty of people who are amazing without drinking! I have had so much fun in my life without alcohol! It is not required in life!
People have even said to me,
"I imagine Jesus to be a party animal. Showing up to party's and turning the tap water into wine, free flowing and all."
They don't understand that when Jesus turned the water into wine at the marriage feast in Cana of Galilee, that the wine was a traditional drink, especially at weddings and big occasions.
I imagine Jesus to be so much fun, but not a party animal!
This is my heart. Please watch me and keep me accountable to my promise. I will not fail in Jesus name!

teenage struggles...
Sometimes when I am having a bad day I make it worse by thinking of people who I think are really pretty, or who have flat tummy's or people who I always find look good. I use to cry every day when I had somewhere to go because it meant I had to pick out an outfit which I never felt good in.
Satan used that to get to me and really put me down. He fed me lie after lie after lie. Letting Satan get to you is one of the worst things ever, so just let Jesus deal with it in HIS perfect timing.
Growing up with an older sister who was close in age was also very challenging, she would always be the one to get invited to parties to have the boyfriend and the thing that really got me was person after person would tell me how pretty she was, even people I never knew.
I then read the book Moral Revolution by Kris Vallotton in summer and for those who have read it will remember the story of the two sisters, one got the dates, got asked to prom, was very sociable and was always with friends whilst the other would sit upstairs weeping because she felt unloved.
The significant point in that story was that Jesus was keeping the perfect man for her, who she would eventually marry, sometimes we just need to remember that Jesus does have a plan and the best things will come in His timing. All paths lead to the same road so whether there is a dip or massive curve in the path which you are afraid to concur then go for it as He will lead the way.

What a good day!
Psalm 15
A psalm of David.
1 LORD, who may dwell in your sacred tent?
Who may live on your holy mountain?
2 The one whose walk is blameless,
who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart;
3 whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others;
4 who despises a vile person
but honors those who fear the LORD;
who keeps an oath even when it hurts,
and does not change their mind;
5 who lends money to the poor without interest;
who does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
Whoever does these things
will never be shaken.
Someone told me to read this on my birthday.
Truly God blessed me on my birthday this year and I am so excited to further my relationship with Him. I am 16 and its time I took things more seriously, I want the desires to be able to fire into the word constantly as I haven't always been the best at this in the past. This is my prayer. I want to be able to look back on my teenage years and not regret a thing.
Everyone says "live life to the fullest and party on". Okay well what if i took that literally, maybe not the way they mean it, but party on for Jesus! "Aint no party like a Holy Ghost party" Right?
So I am so excited for this year and all that God has in mind!
What are you most looking forward to this year?? :)

Proverbs 31 woman
Its almost 6am, and I haven't been to bed, but this has been on my heart and I need to get it out NOW.
Okay, so when we get married at some stage, if thats what God has called you to, then we want our future Husband/Wife to have stayed pure and to have waited just for us right? Well I know I do!
So I came across this video today that my friend had posted about an hour ago. Watch it then read on...
So you've got to admit, that is an eye opener right?
The main message I got out of this is not to tempt our brothers! This past summer I learnt a little of how a guys mind works. Do you know what brain storming is? When you think of one thing which leads to another.
Okay, now imagine that as the guys brain. A cute girl walks past and you can see that red bra strap with a white tank top, his mind is going to spiral, he is going to start thinking about that bra, maybe with lace on it, then he imagines the girl with just the bra on, no top, then it gets worse and there is no bra.
You might not even know the boy or what you are putting through his brain, but he is then in the situation where he is looking lustfully upon you. We wonder why Guys have such a distorted image of what their girlfriend should look like.
So girls, here's what we can do...
Stop wearing those tank tops that you can see through or see your bra straps from.
Perhaps if you want to wear that tank top just take a small paper clip or metal pin and clip your bra straps together so those guys can't see the colour or anything.
Dress modestly, if you do boys will like you for your heart not your body!
So please help our brothers, lets raise a generation of Proverbs 31 women, not victoria secret models. Lets restore that true image of beauty, and then the divorce rate in society may be lower because relationships won't be entirely based on sexual relationships, but instead, true love!
Please, if you care about the next generation, pass at least this video onto a teenage girl who you care about so that they know not to tempt their brothers :) and thanks for reading!

101 in 1001
What better way to bring in the New Year than to start 101 in 1001
The Challenge:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or
clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on
your part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple challenges such as New Year's
resolutions or a 'Bucket List'. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic.
1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several

2011 in review
This year has seriously been amazing! Having so many opportunities just bless a girl like me and participating with the amazing friends i have just makes it even better.
This year was a serious year, i had my first level of Exams that the Lord helped me through, I promise to study this year. I planned the trip of a life time with these people:
This year was a serious year, i had my first level of Exams that the Lord helped me through, I promise to study this year. I planned the trip of a life time with these people:
L-R: Jordan, Daniel, Jessica, and me :)
remember my post about them being my travel buddies?
So in summer of 2011 i went to America and it was off the rails!! Seriously i didn't think i could be so blessed to know a group of people that i had only known for a year or so! We got up to so many things like going to our first Braves game,
and going to some beautiful places,
oh and summer camp, that was AMAZING!
God just showed up and was so powerful, i met some lovely new friends and reconnected with some i wasn't close to from previous years!
meet Toree
and Bekah
they made sure i had the time of my life and that i was never alone!
I will forever be grateful to Riverstone church for bringing a summer camp to Scotland and letting me go to theirs.
These next people you are about to meet are life changing! They allowed me to stay at their home for 3 weeks and they are my role models!
far left is Lisa and far right is Jessica.
They are like a second mother and my fourth sister that i can see in summer! :) Skype dates are just great with them!
Back in Scotland we had our summer camp:
Even though the group is so small, EVER year, without fail, God shows up and breaks our hearts for more of Him. It is the week I look forward to every year. And has been the highlight to my summer for the past 4 years!
Just last month I went up to North Berwick with a group of friends for a fun day trip. We climbed most of the way up this hill and really just caught up with friends after so long of being a part.
This year I got a sudden urge for baking/cooking, I have always loved it but when i got a job, and i made all the food, I got challenged and I loved it! i especially love baking cupcakes and cakes and hopefully we will see more baking blogs around here soon! I am going to be in a cooking competition at the end of January, and i'll be sure to let you know how I got on :)
L-R: Me, Angelina, Francesca
This Year i have became super close to these two girls, they are sisters, their bond is so different from my older sister and I, They are like best friends and tell each other everything. I love them both so much!
This is my year and I am excited for the next one! I am excited to grow closer to God and Challenge my cooking and my Photography. This next year in School I need to work hard for my important exams, I have America to look forward to again and then Scotland camp and hopefully I will get into my photography class in school in the term after summer :)
How has your year been?
